About Health Coaching
A Health Coach is a professional who supports you in achieving your health and wellness goals through guidance, motivation, knowledge, and support. They often focus on areas such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, and lifestyle changes.
A Certified Health Coach will do all the above through guided discussion, education, and a collaborative effort to design a custom plan based on your goals, obstacles, and strengths. They can additionally focus on chronic disease management, stress recovery, coping skills, habit building, and substance abuse assistance. Program planning and strategies are evidenced-based and time-tested. They work with other healthcare professionals to ensure you always get the best care.
Health Coaching involves one-on-one or group sessions where the coach and client discuss goals, challenges, lifestyle habits, and health history, to create a tailored plan with actionable steps to move forward. Sessions may be conducted in person, over the phone, or via video conferencing (zoom).

About Me, Your Coach
I am a Certified Health Coach, specializing in obesity and chronic disease.
I'm also a Nutrition & Fitness Coach, who's been coaching since 2006. I owned CrossFit Evolution for 16 years and helped people lose weight, get fit, and get healthy.
I was Lead Weight Loss Coach at Ethos Health Group and FL Spine & Injury (multi-site) in 2023 & 2024. I worked mostly with patients who weighed 200-325lbs. I helped over 250 patients lose between 30 lbs to 90 lbs! I saw reductions in blood pressure, A1C levels, and depression; while also seeing marked improvements in energy, sleep, and stress levels.

Only a Registered Dietician can create a custom meal plan, medical-specific meal plan, or clinical meal plan. I can create anything outside of that.
Health Coaches work with clients to set realistic goals, identify barriers, and develop actionable steps. I provide ongoing support, accountability, motivation, and education to help you stay on track and make lasting changes. I will work alongside your healthcare team or provide referrals if needed.
Short answer: NO.
While you don't necessarily have to follow a highly restrictive diet or give up all your favorite foods, moderation and balance are key. The goal is to create sustainable healthy habits that fit into your lifestyle. So if you cannot live without oreo cookies, having a diet that never allows it would never work.
Short answer: NO.
You can lose weight with dietary changes alone, but adding physical activity (non-exercise) or exercise will speed up the fat loss process and make it more enjoyable. Not only that, but even 15-30 min a day will greatly improve your health markers.
Results vary depending on individual goals, existing habits, and commitment levels. Some clients may see changes in a few weeks, while others may take several months to achieve their desired outcomes.
During a session, you can expect an open and supportive conversation focused on your health goals. I will ask questions, listen actively, and help you identify steps to move forward. Sessions may include goal setting, progress review, and discussing any challenges you face.
Some Health Coaches may offer general guidance on nutrition and exercise, but they do not typically prescribe specific meal plans or workout routines unless they have additional qualifications in those areas. I do have some additional qualifications but I still do not create specific meal plans nor custom workout routines. I will provide nutrition coaching and also workout instruction/demo with group coaching workouts possible.
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Most clients prefer weekly sessions during the 1st 4 weeks and then adjust to bi-weekly as they progress. During a Maintenance phase, clients may opt for monthly sessions. Duration of sessions can be adjusted as well, from 15 min check-in calls to 30 min and 60 min zoom calls.
